What the Bible Really Says about Homosexuality

Actually, the Bible does not condemn homosexuality. In contrast to the supposed "literal reading," contemporary biblical scholarship across the mainline denominations has uncovered the original meaning of the texts. They are far from condemning. Led by the theologian, psychologist, and author of the popular best-seller, What the Bible Really Says about Homosexuality (1994, 2000), this presentation will explain the matter. Focus will be on the "lying with man" of Leviticus 18:22, the "unnatural" of Romans 1:26-27, and Jesus’ interaction with the centurion in Matthew 8 and Luke 7.
